 Porsche Cayenne E-hybrid Review

Porsche Cayenne E-hybrid Review

“Sweet dreams are made of Porsche.”

This blog post is in partnership with Porsche Centre Vancouver and all opinions are my own.

Over the Christmas holidays, we had the privilege of driving around the new 2020 Porsche Cayenne E-hybrid!  We had the Carrera White on black leather interior which is my favorite color combo. It was such a fun experience for all of us and the kids absolutely loved it.  We delivered Christmas gifts to our families and went on long drives with the kids to check out different Christmas lights while sipping hot chocolate! It was a fun filled holiday despite being on partial lockdown and not being able to do much else.

The Cayenne E-Hybrid is a new electric hybrid SUV. It is truly a sustainable, practical and dynamic vehicle to suit any lifestyle. With 335hp, this SUV screams modern luxury!

The Cayenne E-hybrid is a beauty that boasts of all things luxury (I mean it’s Porsche, so of course it does), but it is also super comfortable with all of the luxury features without being overwhelming. It’s a stunning SUV and I loved every moment driving it.  From highway driving to inner city, it was amazing!

Driving a E-hybrid also made me feel good. I felt that I was doing good for the environment which is something all of us should be thinking about. I like that you can switch from hybrid mode to gas which is nice depending on where you are driving.

The interior is spacious and classy. I can see now why Porsche is such a sought after brand. Everything is so perfectly placed, and this particular model has so much room.  Having kids means we need a ton of extra storage and space. Leaving the house means we pack ALL.THE.THINGS and both of the kids’ car seats fit perfectly with extra room to spare.  I was pleasantly surprised how spacious the trunk is. We filled it with Christmas gifts and Liam’s stroller and there was still extra room which is a nice bonus if you are a parent or even use the vehicle to travel with luggage/ski gear etc.

Some interior features that I loved and stood out to me the most:

Heated steering wheel – You had me at heated steering wheel! Living in Vancouver means our cars are pretty cold in the winter and this is SUCH a nice bonus.  Who doesn’t want a heated steering wheel! The button is a little hidden under the wheel and it heats up super quickly. It was cold in December and this was the first thing I did after starting the car!

Panoramic Sunroof: The sunroof is so massive and I was surprised at how big it was. Ethan loved looking up at stars as we were driving around at night which was the cutest. We actually parked in our driveway and watched the sky and stars.  It was definitely a moment to remember.

Display Screen: This screen is big yet not overwhelming! I loved that fact that when you are reversing, it guides you and shows you all 4 sides.  This was super helpful for people like me who need the extra security!  I also loved that it’s touch screen which made switching radio stations super easy.  I was able to plug my phone in and it connected to Bluetooth automatically. I love that I didn’t always have to plug it in to have access to Bluetooth. Major bonus if you’re like me and make calls when driving!

The exterior is modern sleek and not too big which is exactly what I love to drive. I can judge a car with how easily it parallel parks and this was super easy for me! (Not a secret, I am not the *best* parallel parker, haha)

The wheels on the Porsche are another exterior favorite of mine. I have never liked rims on any of the cars we have purchased in the past and always get them changed.  These are absolute beauties!  They are clean, sleek and the Porsche emblem right in the middle is a great touch.

Other notable features:

OK Decal – Since the Cayenne is an E-hybrid, that means you can drive it in the HOV lane even if you are alone! That alone is a bit of a game changer.  If you commute to and from work with traffic, this means you would save time and for parents who work, this means you get home sooner to your kids. I love this feature as we drive a ton.

Overall the Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid is a mix of sustainability and practicality which brings a smile to any sports car enthusiast or your every day family like us! The starting price for the Cayenne E-Hybrid is $93,800, plus there are a wide array of personalized options that can be added! We loved every moment with this beauty and if you are interested in test driving one (I highly recommend that you do if you are thinking about it), check out Porsche Centre Vancouver! They will be more than happy to help you!
